The Trail Center is free to Visit

Hours of Operation

The Center is open Wednesday to Sunday from 8:30am-5:00pm. Grounds are open from 8 am to 5:30 pm. Due to the federal hiring freeze, we will be too short staffed this summer to operate on a 7-day schedule.

Closed Thanksgiving Day, Dec 24th thru the 26th, and New Year's Day

Location: Map & Directions

The California Trail Interpretive Center is located off I-80, at Hunter Exit 292, 8 miles west of Elko, Nevada. Take Exit 292 off I- 80. Drive past the kiosk through the entrance gate. The Trail Center is 0.5 miles down the road.

The Center has plenty of RV/Bus parking and there is currently no fee to visit.
